PetaLogix and Xilinx University Program Embedded Linux Workshops
PetaLogix and the Xilinx University Program (XUP) are working together to develop and present a series of training workshops on Embedded Linux for the Xilinx MicroBlaze platform.
The workshops, targeting academics and researchers at Universities and higher education facilities, will be presented by PetaLogix CEO Dr John Williams at a range of locations worldwide for an initial period of three years.
The workshops are characterised by a strongly hands-on approach, with attendees gaining practical skills and confidence to continue teaching or researching with the platform.
Attendees are encouraged to reuse and modify the training materials to suit their own teaching purposes.
As part of the agreement, and in recognition of his long-standing commitment to Embedded Linux on Xilinx devices, Xilinx has granted Dr Williams use of the title "Xilinx Embedded Linux Fellow" for the duration of the collaboration.
To register interest in the workshops and materials, academic institutions can contact XUP directly via.
The first two events will occur in Beijing and Shanghai, China, in the week of November 10th, 2008.
